In September W. Bro. Brian McBride visited an English Constitution Lodge in Singapore – The Lodge of St. George No.1152, consecrated in 1867.
For nearly 150 years, the Lodge of St. George has played a prominent part in the development of Freemasonry in S.E. Asia. Today, its members pride themselves on maintaining the Lodge’s rich traditions passed down through many generations. The Lodge is characterised by its warmth and the friendship shared by its members who span all age groups, ethnic and social backgrounds.
Our W. Bro. Secretary was very well received by the Brethren of Lodge 1152 and he enjoyed a wonderful Fellow Craft degree, followed by an excellent, and a very enjoyable festive board. He ‘sang for his supper’ and in replying to the Junior Warden Bro. Bruce Blanckley’s generous toast to the visitors, he complimented the W. Master and Brethren on a first class evening and brought fraternal greetings and very best wishes from our W. Master and Brethren.
A cordial invitation was offered to any Brother travelling to Belfast welcoming them to visit our Lodge.
